
June 3, 2025 – A high-level international seminar titled “Water Crisis and the Indus Waters Treaty” is set to take place on June 4 at the COMSTECH headquarters in Islamabad.
The seminar will focus on addressing the growing water scarcity challenges in the region and the critical role of the Indus Waters Treaty in managing shared water resources between Pakistan and India.
Experts, policymakers, and representatives from international organizations will gather to discuss the impact of climate change on the Indus basin, evaluate the effectiveness of the treaty, and explore avenues for enhanced cooperation and sustainable water management.
This event aims to foster dialogue and collaboration to ensure water security and promote peace through water diplomacy in South Asia.
