
LAHORE: The United Kingdom has pledged its full support to Pakistan in combating climate change and water management.
According to a report by The News, British High Commissioner Jane Marriott stated that Great Britain would cooperate with Pakistan in all possible ways to resolve the issues of climate change and water management.
She made this commitment during a meeting with Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan at the Governor’s House on July 29, 2024.
The governor briefed Marriott on efforts to solarize the Governor’s House and universities, praising British cooperation in various fields. He highlighted Pakistan’s vulnerability to climate change, despite its minimal carbon emissions, particularly in the agricultural sector.
