KARACHI: The Climate Action Center (CAC), in collaboration with Green Media Initiatives, is launching its flagship program “Female Media Cohort for Climate Change Pakistan” on July 27, 2024. The program aims to empower women journalists to advocate for climate action and promote sustainable development.
The launch event will take place at the Climate Action Center in Karachi from 3 pm to 6 pm and will bring together women journalists reporting on climate change.
Organizers say the program is designed to provide a platform for women in media to share their perspectives and experiences on climate change and to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively communicate climate issues to the public. This initiative is a significant step towards promoting gender equality in the media and ensuring that women’s voices are heard in the climate debate.
