Rawalpindi, July 30: In a recent meeting, the District Disaster Management Committee assessed the preparations for the anticipated rainy season.

On Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi Hasan Waqar Cheema along with Member National Assembly, Hanif Abbasi presided over a meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee and reviewed arrangements finalized to cope with flooding.

The committee focused on strategies to mitigate potential flooding and other rain-related disasters. Key measures discussed included strengthening flood defenses, ensuring the availability of emergency services, and conducting public awareness campaigns.
