The Pakistan Meteorological Department noted that the temperature fell to around 8 degrees Celsius, marking a stark contrast to the typically mild winter weather the city is known for.
The lowest night-time temperature from Karachi was recorded in Gulistan-e-Johar, where the mercury dropped as low as 6.5°C at one point.
This cold wave stands out as a significant weather event for Karachi, with temperatures reaching lows unseen in recent years, underscoring the effects of seasonal shifts on urban areas.
