PM’s Climate Change Coordinator Meets UNICEF Representative to Address Children’s Needs Amid Climate Crisis

ISLAMABAD, Jan 27: Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change, Romina Khurshid Alam met with UNICEF Representative Abdullah A. Fadil reflect ongoing efforts to address climate issues and their impact on children in Pakistan.

The meeting focused on collaboration between the Pakistani government and UNICEF to tackle the challenges posed by climate change, particularly its effects on vulnerable populations, including children. Both parties discussed strategies for enhancing support for education and health services in the wake of climate-related disasters.

Abdullah A. Fadil has been instrumental in advocating for children’s rights and welfare amid the climate crisis. His extensive experience includes over 25 years in international development and humanitarian relief, with previous roles in Sudan and Syria. He emphasized UNICEF’s commitment to improving access to quality education and health services for marginalized communities affected by climate change.
