KARACHI: The Energy Department of the Government of Sindh has introduced an innovative “Solar Wind Hybrid Model” to maximize green energy yields in the Jhampir wind corridor. The project aims to achieve the three key objectives of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7, including universal access to energy, doubling energy efficiency and conservation, and increasing the share of renewable energy in the overall energy mix by 2030.
The project will be implemented in collaboration with private sector investments and is part of the government’s efforts to achieve sustainable socio-economic growth while mitigating climate change risks.
A consultative workshop with stakeholders will be held on July 29, 2024, at 2:30 PM at the Movenpick Hotel in Karachi, in collaboration with Energy Update Magazine as Event Manager.
This initiative is in line with the Renewable Energy Policy 2019 and the Climate Change Policy 2022, demonstrating the government’s commitment to a sustainable and green future.
